Presenting the Gospel through Progressive Southern Gospel & Worship Music

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What type of Music do you sing?
We use Contemporary Southern Gospel and Worship Music as the basis for ministry. Songs are selected based first on their message and then on the music, the melody and the harmonies. The message is most important for us to fulfill the goals God has laid upon our hearts. The music must be appealing to the listener because music goes deep into the emotions and prepares the heart to receive the words.

Q: When you say contemporary, does that mean Rock, or Rap or What?
By Contemporary we mean an up to date version of an old song or a new song that glorifies God, has a great and meaningful message, has an appealing sound and good harmony. Just as we do not get into Bluegrass, Mountain, or Country Gospel; we do not do modern contemporary adult or contemporary youth music especially the extremes. We believe that our music must point people to Christ from the words to the sound including the beat. If you took what is being called Christian Music today using Mountain Music as one end of the extreme and Hip Hop (Rap) as the other extreme, we would be right in the middle using Southern Gospel as our basis. Because we are a trio, we can not do the old quartet style the way they did, but we can take the same gospel message and reach souls because of the harmony and the anointing of God.

Q: What do you do during a normal time of ministry?
We use music as a basis for ministry. We add to the music, testimonies, the Word of God and some brief teaching to make the entire time of ministry one big, speical, different type of "sermon." We almost always spend time praying for people around the altar area near the close of the time of ministry. God is able to do in those times what we can not do and He has used us to prepare hearts for Him to do. The altar time is very special to us.

Q: What are your Goals when you Minister?
We have three (3) main goals and they are: 1) To present the salvation message of the Gospel. 2) To lift up and encourage believers in Christ. 3) To challange believers to seek after God with all their heart. In doing so, We can see God save people, set people free, change people and make them more like Christ, and much, much more.

Q: Do you do indoor and outdoor concerts?
Yes, We like ministering in a setting more like a church because there are fewer distractions and therefore, ministering is made easier. However, we are aware that not every person is willing to come into a church but they will attend an outdoor concert. Those people need to hear the Gospel and therefore, we look forward to those types of settings.

Q: When you go to a church, do you take the whole service or just part of it?
We do whatever the Pastor desires. We are there to serve the Pastor and the people. We do four (4) to six (6) songs and the Pastor will minister the Word. We also do the entire service where we minister the Word, mixing it with the music.

Q: How much do you charge?
We don't charge? We are walking by faith in God our provider. We believe and have proven that God will always provide to meet our needs. Traveling, ministry, equipment, etc. are all very expensive but God always provides. God has called us to walk by faith and we are putting action with our faith. When booking The Willing Hearts, don't worry about the money, just pray that God moves in the time of ministry in the way that He desires to move and accomplishes what He desires to accomplish.
